Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season that premiered on CBS August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator as well as one of the first hosts of The Talk. Her first job in broadcasting was as a desk associate to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic idols. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots, worked with Koppel.
